How to Become a Nintendo Game Tester

One of the largest gaming companies in the world is the Nintendo Company, and many wonder exactly how to
become a Nintendo game tester. Game testers are responsible for making sure that games are absolutely perfect
before they go out for sale in order to keep the integrity of the company intact. Most believe that, by working for a
large company such as the Nintendo Company, they will be paid more.

Nintendo Background

The Nintendo Company is probably one of the oldest game companies around. It was begun in 1889 when Fusajiro
Yamauchi decided to make, and sell, home made playing cards. The company continued to grow until 1975, when it
decided to try making electronic games. Its first foray into the gaming world was Computer Othello, which was not
extremely popular. They did have a hit, however, when they created Donkey Kong. After that they found gold when
they started their extremely popular Mario Bros. game.

The first Nintendo console was created in 1983 and helped to set the standard for video games. It was also the first
video game console created which utilized games that were created by other companies. Later the Super Nintendo
Entertainment System (or the SNES) was created, along with the Nintendo 64 (N64), GameCube, and now the
extremely popular Wii.

Testing for Nintendo

Because of their extremely popular game system, the Nintendo Corporation is almost constantly looking for good
gamers. They pride themselves on sending out only the best, and want to make sure that their name and reputation
is kept good. Testing for the Nintendo Company would, at this point in time, means that you would be testing
products for either their Wii line, or their hand-held Nintendo DS line.

In order to start working for Nintendo, it is a good idea that you be very familiar with their product line. If you don’t
know how to run the Wii, for instance, how are you going to be able to test games for the system? Before you
contact the Nintendo Company, make sure you have done your homework and have become an expert on how to
run the systems. You will also want to have played a number of different types of games, such as some RPG, some
strategy, and some fantasy, in order to show the company that you know how to run the systems and are fluent with
the company’s games.

You may also want to skip the Nintendo Company and go to work for one of the companies that sells games to the
Nintendo Company, such as Electronic Arts. These are very lucrative positions and can bring you a lot of
experience.

Working for the Nintendo company is a privilege for any gamer. It is considered to be one of the best game
